Executives

  • Justin Gonsalves

    President

Justin grew up in Plymouth, NH in a house built by his parents. He was exposed to construction at a very young age, as his father was a general contractor who built residential homes. During high school, Justin participated in Plymouth’s vocational school - specifically in building trades - and worked side jobs on the weekends. He was introduced to construction management at Worcester Polytechnic Institute through an internship with Gilbane Building Company, where he worked 20+ hours a week through the school year and full-time during summers. He was then hired on full time in Gilbane’s Management Trainee program after graduating with a BS in Civil Engineering in 2006. After 7 years working in the life science and higher education markets at Gilbane, Justin spent 4 years at the Richmond group doing biotechnology and life science projects. Justin landed at GenCon 6 years ago.

Justin now lives in Kittery, ME with his wife Stephanie, daughters Waverly and Quinn and Labrador Retriever Tucker. On the weekends he spends time with his family in Southern Maine, enjoying the seacoast. When he’s not with family, you can find him fishing or working on projects around the house.

  • Tim Lunt

VP of Operations & Business Development

Tim grew up in Salem, MA, close to the coast and with a love for the ocean, boating, and fishing. As a child, he was often found building small things from scratch and trying to understand how they work, which later sparked an interest in boat building/designing as a potential career. At Wentworth Institute of Technology, he began to shift his focus from ship design to construction and earned his BS in Construction Management in 2007. Tim has been in the construction industry for over 15 years now, working at Gilbane for 10 years before landing at GenCon in 2017. His favorite part about his career is seeing large projects come together hour by hour. When a long, difficult, or challenging project is completed, there is no better feeling of success than to look at it with the team and say “We built that!”.

Tim lives in Salem with his wife Nicole, daughter Brynn, and son Colby. Family is the most important thing in his life and he enjoys spending time with them doing the things they love outdoors. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing trips and hanging out with friends. He’s also a hardcore New England sports fan, especially the Bruins and Patriots.

  • John Shea

    VP of Field Operations

John grew up in Marshfield, MA. His interest in building began in his early high school years when he excelled in a woodshop course. From that point on, he was always building something. He worked for several general contractors and did odd jobs throughout high school. John then attended Wentworth Institute of Technology, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Construction Engineering in 2004. Since then, he has worked for Shawmut Design and Construction, Suffolk Construction, Martin Construction, and GenCon, where he has now been for the last 4 years.

John lives in Marshfield with his wife Sarah, son Jack, and daughter Josie. On the weekends, you can find John doing construction, whether it is for work, building something for a friend, helping out around town, or working on his own house.

  • Jessica Rumore

    VP of Finance & Administration

Jessica grew up in Plymouth, NH. She has always had an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for the business world. Through her studies and internships at Fairfield University, she realized that finance allowed for opportunities to gain insight to all facets of business and to work with many different people and departments. She graduated in 2002 with a BS in Accounting and went on to get her MBA at Northeastern University in 2012. After many successful years in the CPG industry, Jessica made the move over to construction and joined the GenCon team in 2021. She was drawn to GenCon because of its focus in healthcare and life science. For Jessica, knowing that the work GenCon is performing will be the foundation and place for helping others, gives more meaning to the spaces being built.

Jessica lives in Newburyport with her husband John, and three sons Mason, Weston and Kellen. In her free time, Jess loves spending time with her family and enjoying the outdoors.
